THE STORY IN A FEW WORDS
Summary for Kids
Gabriel told Mary that she would have a son named Jesus, who would be great and whose kingdom would never end. Mary asked an honest question, then freely trusted God and gave a brave yes. She hurried to Elizabeth in the Judean hills. Elizabeth’s baby leaped for joy, Elizabeth blessed Mary, and Mary praised God for his holiness, mercy, and care for the lowly and hungry. After about three months, Mary began the journey home, carrying news Joseph would soon have to face.

Lessons for Kids
- 1
Ask honest questions
Mary listened carefully and asked how the promise could happen. When something is confusing, you can ask a respectful question and listen for help.
- 2
Take one brave next step
Mary did not have every answer, but her yes was freely given. When a good choice feels hard, talk with a trusted grown-up and choose one brave next step.
- 3
Speak courage into someone
Elizabeth blessed Mary for believing God’s words. Tell someone one true, specific thing that can help them feel seen and encouraged.
- 4
Remember God’s mercy
Mary praised God for lifting the lowly and filling the hungry. Thank God for one good thing, then look for one practical way to help someone who needs care.
- 5
Share joy together
Mary and Elizabeth rejoiced together in what God was doing. Celebrate another person’s good news without making the moment about yourself.
