Cookie Policy

This page explains the cookies and browser-storage technologies used to keep the games working, remember progress, secure accounts, process purchases, and support advertising.Last updated July 28, 2026

1. Cookies and browser storage

Cookies are small data files stored by a website or service provider. BernStone Games also uses local storage and session storage, which let the browser retain game data without sending every saved value to our servers.

Some technologies are essential for a requested feature. Others are optional and may require consent depending on your location.

2. Technologies we use

Essential game storage

Local and session storage may remember game progress, achievements, settings, controls, points, cosmetic selections, tutorial choices, challenge state, a locally generated contributor or friend identifier, and temporary session information. Blocking or clearing this storage may reset progress or stop a feature from working.

Authentication and security

When optional sign-in is enabled, Clerk may use cookies or similar storage to maintain the authenticated session, prevent abuse, and protect the account.

Checkout and purchases

Stripe may use cookies and device information on its hosted checkout pages for payment processing, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance.

Advertising

When advertising is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, IP address, device information, and activity data to deliver, limit, personalize, and measure ads. An optional rewarded ad may use Google Ad Manager technology to confirm whether the disclosed reward was earned.

Hosting and reliability

Vercel and our data providers may process request and device information for delivery, security, rate limiting, reliability, and operational logging. These processes may use short-lived identifiers or storage where necessary.

3. Consent management

For advertising in the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, BernStone Games uses or will use a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework where Google requires it. The message lets eligible users consent, refuse, or manage available purposes and vendors.

The presence of this Cookie Policy does not itself activate advertising consent. Advertising remains gated until the publisher's certified consent configuration is complete.

4. How to control storage

  • Use the consent message’s “Manage options” or equivalent control where it is displayed.
  • Use Google Ads Settings to control Google ad personalization.
  • Use browser settings to block or delete cookies and site data. This may erase local game progress.
  • Use the game’s reset controls where available to remove supported local profile information.
  • See Privacy Choices for data and opt-out requests.

Browser “Do Not Track” signals are not interpreted consistently across providers. We respond to legally recognized opt-out mechanisms where required and rely on the available certified consent and provider controls for advertising choices.

5. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when a game, provider, consent configuration, or legal requirement changes. Questions may be sent to privacy@bernstonegames.com.
